A Building With a Story

A Historic Space
reimagined for creativity.

Behind a distinctive brick façade, generations of volunteer firefighters once answered the call. Today, that same spirit of gathering lives on — through paint, clay, and community.

The Fleetwing Hook & Ladder Company No. 3 was established in 1864, serving the Lambertville community with courage and dedication for generations.

For more than 140 years, this beloved firehouse stood as a pillar of the neighborhood — responding to emergencies, hosting community gatherings, and becoming part of the fabric of daily life.

The historic building, constructed around 1890, retains its distinctive brick facade and timeless character. Today, it has been thoughtfully transformed into Firehouse Studios — a vibrant space where creativity and community thrive once again.

Upcoming Exhibitions

Grand Opening: July 3, 2026

Created in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, New Currents honors the spirit of exploration, perseverance, innovation, and renewal that has shaped our nation for generations. Inspired by the Delaware River one of America’s most historic waterways the exhibition reflects on the people, places, and journeys that helped build our country and continue to define its future.

Through a series of mixed-media works incorporating maps, river textures, mirrors, collage, resin, and found imagery, New Currents explores themes of discovery, connection, memory, and transformation. Drawing from the river’s role as both a physical and symbolic pathway, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on their own journeys and their place within the larger American story.

Through four archetypes Explorer, Bridge, Keeper, and Guide the exhibition asks a simple question: Which current are you? Like the river itself, we are all shaped by where we have been, who we meet along the way, and the new paths still waiting to be discovered.

Upcoming Exhibit – TBD

Sisters Across The Sea

Sisters Across the Sea is an international collaborative exhibition connecting young women artists in Afghanistan with women artists in the United States. Developed through partnerships with AESOP (Afghanistan Education Student Outreach Project), the project grew from ongoing art and English classes connecting students and teachers across continents.

Through art, storytelling, and shared creative expression, the exhibition explores resilience, identity, hope, and the universal desire to be seen and heard. Each work pairs original drawings created by Afghan students with three-dimensional responses by American artists, creating a visual conversation that bridges cultures, experiences, and thousands of miles. The exhibition celebrates the power of creativity to foster connection, understanding, and community across borders.

Connected

Connected is a collaborative exhibition by sister and brother artists Tracey DeLellis and Scott McMahon. Through mixed media, found objects, mirrors, drawing, and sculpture, the exhibition explores the invisible ties that bind us—to family, memory, place, and one another.

Drawing from their shared history and distinct artistic voices, the artists examine themes of connection, separation, support, and resilience. The work reflects on the ways relationships shape our lives, revealing both the strength and complexity of the bonds we carry with us.

About the Owner

Tracey DeLellis

Tracey DeLellis is a mixed-media artist, educator, and the founder of Firehouse Studios. For more than 25 years, she has shared her passion for creativity through teaching art to students of all ages, from young children to adults. In addition to her studio practice, she has taught art and English through the Afghanistan Education Student Outreach Project (AESOP), helping connect students across cultures through creativity, conversation, and learning.

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Tracey has lived and worked in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and Key West, Florida, before making Lambertville her home. Her work is inspired by themes of connection, resilience, discovery, and the stories that shape our lives. Working across a variety of media—including painting, collage, ceramics, resin, glass, and found materials—she creates artwork that invites reflection, curiosity, and conversation.

Firehouse Studios reflects Tracey’s belief that creativity belongs to everyone. Whether through exhibitions, workshops, community gatherings, or simply spending time making art, she believes creative expression has the power to bring people together, build confidence, and enrich everyday life.

As Tracey often tells her students, “If you have art, you are never alone.”
